Cambridgeshireshire wedding venues and the counties beyond…part 2!

Didn’t even touch the surface in the last blog with the wedding venues and weddings I did. Here’s another installment for a quick view of some incredible wedding venues and some amazing weddings I was part of.

The Flint Room - Norfolk

The next wedding venue was a surprise and delight! I have never been to The Flint Room in Norwich, and truth be told, it was a venue I wasn’t even aware of! But what a place! And old converted church that is deconsecrated and given a bit of a “zhuzh” up with some amazing decor, great ideas and a real boho or alternative vibe. It’s such a free thinking, fun venue with two amazing owners/organisers in Lesley and Trish who are a delight to work with. As they say themselves, its a church that is not a church! It’s a perfect venue for those who want to do things their way. No pretence, no formality, just a great idea for a wedding with a little bit of a difference.

Hardwick Moat Weddings - Cambridgeshire

Next was another wedding venue I hadn’t been to before, Hardwick Moat Weddings in Cambridgeshire. This was another delight and surprise wedding venue to be honest. In some ways, a very blank canvas, set into the Cambridgeshire countryside, on a working farm, near Huntingdon. But what it gives is lots of open space, lots of wonderful views, a fantastic place for the marquee, tractor rides for guests coming from the car park (which is fun!) and awesome staff who are chilled and lovely.

Woolverstone Hall - Suffolk

Yet again, I was off to another wedding venue I was both not aware of or had been to before. Woolverstone Hall is a little gem. In the Suffolk countyside, it seems to appear from nowhere, but is quite beautiful in it’s presentation. Not a huge place, but from the outside has the appearance of an old stately home. It’s quite dramatic and pretty and the surroundings are especially beautiful with a lake and harbour at the far end of the grounds. It’s a photographers dream really. And a lovely, relaxed vibe to it too. Well worth a look.

Stockton House - Shropshire

I took a little road trip for my next wedding venue…..a night in a Premier Inn up in my home town of Dudley then a quick trip over the Shropshire and the rather lovely and quaint Stockton House. ANOTHER wedding venue I had not been at but I kinda know the area, having grown up within a 25 mile radius. But it wasn’t a place I was familiar with as a wedding venue and what a nice surprise it is. Set in deep countryside but not that far from Telford (as tends to be the way for the Midlands. Town and countryside sit very close to each other), it was glorious in it’s setting. Fields full of corn and wheat, rolling hills and a lovely old grand house converted with a large garden for beautiful outdoor ceremonies. And a staff that are both brilliant and great to work with and mad as hatters! Which made for a truly wonderful day. Lovely place!

So, this is another handful of some incredible wedding venues for some amazing weddings I did last year. I will do yet another couple of these so stay tuned as there are still some amazing places yet to come. See you in the next one!
